King (the first five tracks) and Ike & Tina Turner, which were on tour with The Stones in November 1969. The performance of the song I’ve Been Loving You Too Long was also included in the concert movie Gimme Shelter in 1970. The album features one of the best live recordings from Ike & Tina with an absolutely wonderful version of Proud Mary.

Guests included Joe Cocker, Sammy Davis Jr., Grateful Dead, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, James Brown and Ike & Tina Turner. This home video includes the duos appearance in the show from February 03, 1970 with live performances and an interview with Hugh Hefner. Doug Kershaw, an American fiddle player and country singer, joined the Turners for a jam on „Honky Tonk Women“ to close out the show.

was a one-hour TV-Special, chronicling Oprah's five-year journey in creating a Leadership Academy for disadvantaged girls in South Africa. The project started in 2002, born out of a discussion she had with South African president Nelson Mandela about combating poverty. The school opened on January 02, 2007 and its inaugural class of 72 girls graduated in 2011. The special was released later on this home video, including many scenes with Oprah’s guests, featuring Sidney Poitier, Quincy Jones, Spike Lee, Chris Rock, Chris Tucker, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry, Nick Ashford, Valerie Simpson, Diane Sawyer, Kenneth (Babyface) Edmonds, Star Jones Reynolds, India Arie, Patti LaBelle, Benny Madina, Holly Robinson Peete and Tina Turner.

It shows Oprah, the students and her guests, while they join her for the opening reception. The 4-day event started in Sun City with a birthday party for her best friend Gayle King and a safari the next day. The New Year's Eve began with a dinner and at the stroke of midnight a visual extravaganza of sparklers lit up the tables, stage and dance floor. Mary J. Blige performed „No More Drama,“ followed by Tina with her famous Simply The Best. The next day, they met all in Johannesburg for dinner and conversation and on February 2, in the small town of Henley-on-Klip, guests gathered while Nelson Mandela delivered an inspiring speech for the opening of the academy.

is the first and only Tina Turner tribute album with some of her biggest solo hits as well as some songs from Ike & Tina Turner. The songs were performed by artists like Kip Winger (former Alice Cooper bass player), Alannah Myles (best known for the stunning track „Black Velvet“), Tiffany (had a #1 on the American Billboard charts), Darlene Love (released several songs from Phil Spector in 1963) and Jane Child (nominated for 4 Juno awards). Richard Kendrick produced ten of the songs and was responsible for the album concept and instrumentation. The full album with a different song order was reissued on the 3 CD set The Many Faces of Tina Turner in 2018.

The event was held simultaneously at the Wembley Stadium in London and the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia on July 13, 1985 and was broadcasted internationally via satellite television. Tina Turner accompanied Mick Jagger in Philadelphia on two songs and attended the entire cast at the end of the concert on the song We Are The World. We Are The World

was recorded by the supergroup USA for Africa with some of the most famous artists in the music industry, including Tina Turner. With sales in excess of 20 million copies, it’s the fastest-selling American pop single in history, raised over $63 million for humanitarian aid in Ethiopia. Tina contributed also an edited version of the song „Total Control“ for the album. A longer version was later included into the tracklist of the box set The Collected Recordings in 1994. The associated home video features the music video and the story about the song.

The music video was filmed on January 28, 1985 at A&M Recording Studios in Hollywood during the recording session with all participating artists. It shows the solo parts, the lead singer Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and the whole choir together.

It was written by Garth Porter, a member of the Australian rock group Sherbet, managed by Roger Davies in the 1970’s. This studio version is only available on this vinyl record, because the album is still waiting for a release on compact disc. The song „Johnny And Mary“ was maybe recorded together with the track Help in 1981 at Studio 55 in Los Angeles with Richard Perry. It was reissued in 1994 on the box set The Collected Recordings.

Over-Nite Sensation is a studio album from Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention from 1973, followed by Zappa's solo album Apostrophe (') in 1974. Both albums were recorded during the same sessions at Ike Turner’s Bolic Sound studios with The Ikettes and Tina Turner doing the partly very difficult and strange background vocals on some tracks. Ike agreed for this deal, but refused that their names appeared in the credits. The Ikettes Linda Sims and Debbie Wilson recorded also the track „Cheepnis“ with Zappa on December 12, 1973. This song was released on the live album Roxy & Elsewhere in 1974.

is a documentary movie about The Rolling Stones 1969 US tour, which culminated in the disastrous Altamont concert. The film includes a scene with Ike & Tina Turner, performing their signature live song I’ve Been Loving You Too Long at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This concert was later released on the 1969 live album Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!, which was reissued in 2009 as a three disc set, featuring the complete opening set from Ike & Tina. The bootleg Gimme Shelter (The Complete Soundtrack) includes an otherwise unreleased „Backstage Jam“ from The Rolling Stones with Ike & Tina Turner from November 1969 in New York.
