I Know is a cover song, originally released from Barbara George in 1961. It was the second single from the album The Hunter, but missed the Hot 100 Billboard chart - in contrast to Bold Soul Sister from the b-side, which was promoted from the duo at the Ed Sullivan Show on January 11, 1970. Ike & Tina performed the title track live in their concerts, available on the album Live! The Ike & Tina Turner Show from 1965. The single was reviewed in Billboard magazine in it’s issue from October 4, 1969. Reworked and different versions were released on the album Sweet Rhode Island Red from 1974 and Golden Empire from 1985.
