Private Dancer Tour

Video (1985)

Live - Private Dancer Tour features selected tracks from Tina’s concert at the NEC in Birmingham (England), including special appearances by David Bowie and Bryan Adams. It was filmed over two nights on 35mm film, with a team of no less than 15 camera operators and the first time with a flying camera system called the SkyCam, one of the film industry’s latest innovations at this time. The concert premiered on HBO and the Westwood One Radio Network in June 1985, followed by a home video release two months later, which received a Grammy nomination in 1986.

In Europe, the Tina Live - CD & Video Double Pack was released in 1994 and again in 2010 under the different title The Exciting Tina Turner Live. Together with the Private Dancer (40th Anniversary Edition), the concert was remastered on compact disc and newly upgraded to 4k on Blu-ray.
