Get It Together

is an American photographer, editor and writer since 1967. He worked for several magazines such as Life, Esquire, New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, and several other publications. His work has been exhibited in several galleries and he published twelve books of photographs, seven of which have been acquired for the Library collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

He photographed Ike & Tina Turner in 1969 while their residency at the International Hotel in Las Vegas live on stage and he shoot some promotional pictures from the duo in the desert around Las Vegas. Pictures from this session were later used for the album Ooh Poo Pah Doo, a reissue of the album The Ike & Tina Turner Show (Vol. 2). He is also credited for the original American Get It Together cover picture and for the photographs in the June 1970 issue of Show magazine.

was an English photographer specialising in music photography. Born in Ashbourne, he began his career photographing jazz festivals such as the Beaulieu Jazz Festival in Beaulieu, Hampshire and was a regular visitor at the Marquee Club and the Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in the 1960s, where he photographed Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald.

Redfern photographed for the TV show Ready Steady Go! and many artists while they were on tour, including Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Martha and the Vandellas, Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye. He also accompanied the Beatles during the making of the Magical Mystery Tour movie. In 1980, he became the regular tour photographer of Frank Sinatra, at the request of the singer. Redfern worked as a photographer for 45 years and had over 10,000 pictures in his collection, including photos of the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. In 1999 he published a book about his life called „The Unclosed Eye.“

David photographed Ike & Tina Turner as well as Tina solo several times, among others at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, at the Newport Jazz Festival, at The Venue in 1983 for the TV-Show The Tube and he is credited for several cover pictures.
