Father Alone was the only single from the album The Gospel According to Ike and Tina, featuring two tracks with lead vocals by Ike Turner on the American release in contrast to the German release with „What A Friend We Have In Jesus“ on the flip side with lead vocals from Tina. The single received a Grammy nomination in 1975.
