Paul Cox

is a British photographer, who’s career took off in the late 1970’s. During his incredible career, Paul worked as a leading music photographer and many bands aspired to collaborate with him. Paul’s studio in Fulham was a fantastic and legendary space to photograph bands, but he also loved shooting on locations and undertook many assignments with artists such as The Cure and Van Morrison. Over the years, Paul worked with many musicians, from Mick Jagger, The Smiths to Tina Turner.

Paul, a 'jobbing photographer' in 1983, was asked to capture Tina on Channel 4’s The Tube by record company EMI. The performance is considered one of the significant moments of her remarkable comeback. Following that first encounter, Paul was often booked by Tina’s manager and mentor at that time, Roger Davies, for video shoots and studio sessions. Not surprisingly, his last shoot with Tina in 2004, when he was given dedicated time of photograph her in the garden of her home in the South of France, is one of his favourites.

Photos from Paul Cox were used many times for Tina’s records, among others the greatest hits package All The Best, the collection Queen Of Rock 'N’ Roll, the live album Live In Europe and for her recent Deluxe Editions.
