Tina Turner - Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - Award

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a museum in Cleveland, celebrating the most important musicians and producers. Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record.

In 1989, Tina Turner inducted Phil Spector and performed many songs live on stage together with Mick Jagger and other artists. Most of this performance was later released on home video. In 1991, Phil Spector inducted Ike & Tina Turner on their behalf, because Ike was in prison and Tina didn’t want to participate.

In 2021, Tina was inducted as a solo artist from Angela Basset and was honored in the show from Christina Aguilera with the performance of River Deep - Mountain High, from Mickey Guyton with What's Love Got To Do With It and from H.E.R. & Keith Urban with It’s Only Love. Tina is the third artist to be a double inductee and sent a video message with her acceptance speech.
