Beyond is Tina's first collaboration with the music therapist Regula Curti and the mantra singer Dechen Shak-Dagsay. It includes Buddhist and Christian prayers, as well as a spoken intro and interludes from Tina. Because of it's success, it was expanded with additional Buddhist prayers performed by Tina. The 62-page booklet includes many pictures and all messages in English and German. The album was re-issued together with all other Beyond releases as a Collector’s Box for the occasion of Tina's book My Love Story in 2018.
To be a part of this project, Tina had to overcome some obstacles. At this time, she was bound to a contract with the British music giant EMI, but this album was released by Universal. Tina’s later husband and EMI manager Erwin Bach needed all his influence to obtain an exemption. This was only possible because this is a charity project. „We receive nothing, all proceeds go to foundations that are committed to peace projects for children and young people,“ told Regula Curti.
