The Best of Musikladen features most of the performances from Ike & Tina and Tina solo at the German TV-Show Musikladen and Beat Club. Ike & Tina, as well as Tina solo, performed several times in both shows over the years.
Beat Club was a German music program from September 1965 to December 1972 with 83 episodes. It was co-created by Gerhard Augustin, Ike & Tina’s manager in the 70’s. Host was Uschi Nerke. The show was replaced in 1972 with Musikladen, which run from 1972 until 1984 and featured live performances by national and international musicians like ABBA, Bee Gees and David Bowie, combined with music videos. Host of the show was Manfred Sexauer together with various others.
