Gimme Shelter

Movie / Video / Bootleg (1970)

Gimme Shelter is a documentary movie about The Rolling Stones 1969 US tour, which culminated in the disastrous Altamont concert. The film includes a scene with Ike & Tina Turner, performing their signature live song I’ve Been Loving You Too Long at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This concert was later released on the 1969 live album Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!, which was reissued in 2009 as a three disc set, featuring the complete opening set from Ike & Tina. The bootleg Gimme Shelter (The Complete Soundtrack) includes an otherwise unreleased „Backstage Jam“ from The Rolling Stones with Ike & Tina Turner from November 1969 in New York.
