From Rivers Deep To Mountain Highs is an European two disc set, featuring rare recordings from 1970 to 1984. Disc one contains a Tina Turner solo concert from Park West in Chicago on August 17, 1984. Disc two features live performances from Ike & Tina Turner on various TV-Shows, including the Ed Sullivan Show, Soul Train and Midnight Special, released for the very first time. The gatefold cover features liner notes and very nice pictures.

The Ed Sullivan Show was an American television variety show CBS from 1948 to 1971. Ike & Tina Turner were guests in 1970 and performed two songs live.
Cher was an American variety show on CBS with live performances and sketches. Ike & Tina have been guests twice in 1975 where they performed together as a duet as well as Tina together with Cher.
Soul Train was an American music-dance television program, from 1971 until 2006. Ike & Tina Turner performed in the first season of 1972 three songs live and answered questions from some people in the audience together with the host Don Cornelius. The second and last appearance was in 1975 with the performance of four songs live and an interview.
The Midnight Special was an American late-night musical show on NBC from 1972 until 1981 and featured live performances from popular musical acts. Ike & Tina were several times guests in the show. At their last appearance in 1975, Tina did a very rare performance of the track „Bayou Song,“ taken from her first solo album Tina Turns The Country On.
Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert was an American television music show from 1973 until 1981. Ike & Tina Turner have been twice guests with live interpretations of several songs. Their 1976 appearance included the rare performance of the track „Only Women Bleed,“ which was later released on the album The Edge.
