Black Angel is a French sampler, featuring mostly instrumental tracks from Ike Turner’s solo album A Black Man’s Soul plus some songs from Ike & Tina’s debut album The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner from 1961, the album Dynamite! from 1963 and Cussin', Cryin' And Carryin’ On from 1969. The cover pictures were taken from 1971 while the duo was on tour in Paris and rehearsing for their appearance at the Gala du Midem. This compilation was also included into the box set Fabulous in 1982.
