Tina Turner - Rockqueen, Mutter, Kämpferin - TV

Rockqueen, Mutter, Kämpferin (Rock Queen, Mother, Fighter) is a German documentary about Tina Turner's rise from humble beginnings to become the biggest female rock star in the world. As part of the 'Terra X History' series, it tells the colorful story of the dazzling rock legend. The racism she faced back then in the southern United States and later as a Black singer shaped her throughout her life and kept her disciplined, as Tina Turner repeatedly emphasizes in interviews. This consistency was one of the secrets of her success, as was her Buddhist faith, which helped her overcome blows of fate and upheavals in her life. In addition to some rare Tina interviews and television appearances, entertainer Ron Williams, journalists Kurt Loder and Dominik Wichmann also talk about their encounters with Tina Turner.
