The MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin) are an annual British music award presentation honouring performers of 'black music' since 1996. It was founded by Kanya King and Andy Ruffell.
Tina Turner received a 'Lifetime Achievement Award' in 1999 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, presented by Lionel Richie. She also performed two songs, including her newest single When The Heartache Is Over.
