That’s My Life is the first authorized pictorial book from Tina Turner, containing iconic and never-before-seen candid photos, letters and other personal items from her early career to today. Tina has assembled an exceptional collection of images and ephemera, featuring the work of world-renowned photographers including Peter Lindbergh, Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber, Anton Corbijn, Herb Ritts, Andy Warhol, Lord Snowdon and Paul Cox. Also showcased are illustrations by fashion designers who were inspired by Tina, including Christian Louboutin, Antonio and Bob Mackie. Additionally, Tina delved into her personal archive to showcase some of her most famous dresses, wigs, and shoes. Comments handwritten by Tina Turner herself are included and as well as handwritten letters from such friends as Beyoncé, Giorgio Armani, Bryan Adams, Oprah Winfrey, and Mick Jagger and others.
The book was first released in November 2019 for Tina’s 80’s birthday as a 'limited deluxe edition‘, including a whole host of extras, such as a pull-out golden screen print by Charlie Gates, a serviette with a lipstick kiss mark from Tina and a piece of fabric from an original Armani dress that Tina Turner wore at one of her concerts. As an extraordinary final flourish, a very special bonus item is included: A limited edition gold ring which has been personally designed by Tina Turner and is an exact replica of one she has worn on her right thumb for many years. One year later, the book was also released as a 'fan edition‘ without the extras.
Release: November 2019 (limited edition) / October 2020 (fan edition)
