TINA: Live (Concert)

St. Petersburg (2005)

Tina Turner - St. Petersburg - Concert

Tina supported at the end of 2005 a costumed charity ball in St. Petersburg, which was organized by Richard Caring to benefit British good cause The Children’s Charity. The money raised was used for building a center in London to help victims of pedophilia. The guests (including Bill Clinton, Elizabeth Hurley, Bob Geldof and Sting) were flown to Russia by private jets and welcomed with a party in the Yusupov Palace. The main event was the ball the next day, started with a seven-course dinner. After some speeches, Elton John performed a rocking set, followed by Tina Turner, who took to the stage in black leather. The room exploded as she performed a medley of her favorite hits, accompanied by her dancers Solange Guenier, Djenera Aduayom, Clare Louis Turton as well as Stacy Campbell and Lisa Fisher as background singers. Three costume changes later, Tina was presented with flowers for her 66th birthday, which she was celebrating that day.
