The Fantastic Ike & Tina is an UK sampler with selected tracks from Ike & Tina’s first longplayer The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner, originally released in 1961 from Sue Records, plus additional tracks from the album Don’t Play Me Cheap. A similar album was already released in North America under the slightly different title The Fantastic Ike And Tina Turner in 1969. In other European countries like Germany and France it was also released in 1974, but with more additional tracks from other Sue releases. In Japan, it was issued with a wonderful gatefold cover and a booklet featuring the lyrics.
