The Fantastic Ike & Tina is an UK sampler with selected tracks from Ike & Tina’s first longplayer The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner, originally released in 1961 from Sue Records, plus additional tracks from the album Don’t Play Me Cheap. A similar album was already released in North America under the slightly different title The Fantastic Ike And Tina Turner in 1969, and in Europe as Fantastic Ike & Tina in 1974. In Japan, it was issued with a wonderful gatefold cover and a booklet featuring the lyrics.
