Proud Mary was Ike & Tina’s biggest hit, originally released in 1971 from the album Workin’ Together. The flip side features the Beatles song Come Together from the same named album. The live version from the 12“ single was taken from the album What You Hear Is What You Get, recorded at Carnegie Hall in New York. This reissue was released to coincide with the release of Ike & Tina’s Greatest Hits album from the same year, available with different cover pictures and also released under the 'Hit Story' series.
