Single

It’s Gonna Work Out Fine is the first Ike & Tina Turner single which was not written by Ike Turner, but from Rose Marie McCoy and Sylvia McKinney. Also the male spoken part is not from Ike but from Mickey Baker. The single was released already in 1961 and was later included into the tracklist of the same named album in a slightly longer version. The duo performed it at several TV-Shows and live in their concerts. A live version is available on the album Festival of Live Performances from 1967. An instrumental version was released on the album Dance with Ike & Tina Turner’s Kings of Rhythm in 1962, which was also the b-side of the single Prancing. Ike recorded a different version for the album River Deep - Mountain High and Tina recorded a new version with Laurence Fishburne for the soundtrack album What's Love Got To Do With It in 1993. Ike & Tina received for this single their first Grammy nomination.
