Taking Off is a comedy movie, including a short cameo appearance from Ike & Tina Turner (with the Ikettes Ester Jones, Vera Hamilton and Jean Brown) performing the song Goodbye So Long, while the parents watching their concert. The story is about a group of parents whose children have run away from home and the parents take the opportunity to rediscover their youth. The film received a Golden Palm award in Cannes.
