A Fool In Love is the very first single from Ike & Tina Turner, which came out by accident, when Art Lassiter, booked for the recording session, did not show up and Tina stepped in. Although Ike and Anna Mae were not yet married, Ike changed Annas name to Tina and released the single as an Ike & Tina Turner production. It was the duos first hit in the pop chart and was later included into their debut album in 1961. The duo promoted it at the TV-Show American Bandstand in 1960, as well as later in several other shows. The single was reviewed in Billboard magazine in it’s issue from August 1, 1960.
Tina re-recorded the song thirty-three years later for the soundtrack album What's Love Got To Do With It and performed it live forty years later at her Twenty Four Seven Tour. Live versions are available on the album In Person from 1969 and the One Last Time home video from 2000.
