That Kat Sure Could Play! (The Singles 1951 to 1957) is a box set with four CD’s, featuring all tracks issued between 1951 and 1957 with Ike Turner on guitar, piano or vocals. The singles were released on labels such as Chess, RPM, Modern, Flair, Blues & Rhythm, Sun, Checker, Groove, Vita, Federal and Phantom Records. The first of two booklets contains liner notes about Ike Turner's life and music, song information and some photographs from Fred Rothwell, who wrote the book Dynamite! in 2022. The second booklet features extensive information about the credits of all songs. This collection of 118 tracks includes the single Rocket 88, what is considered to be the first Rock and Roll record, as well as songs by BB King, Howling Wolf and Elmore James among many others.
