Getting Nasty features two Instrumentals from 'Nasty Minds', which was an alias for Ike Turner & the Kings of Rhythm. Both tracks were later included into the tracklist of the album A Black Man’s Soul in 1969. The Hip-Hop group 'Jurassic 5' sampled it in 1997 for their song „Concrete Schoolyard“.
The title track was reissued in 2020 as a limited edition Japanese vinyl single with the original version on the a-side and a more playful and funky remix from 'Conomark‘ on the flip side. The single includes a paper insert sheet that mimics the album cover.
