Father Alone was taken from the album The Gospel According to Ike & Tina and features two tracks with lead vocals by Ike Turner. In contrast to this Ike Turner single, the German release is credited to Ike Turner on the a-side and Tina Turner on the flip side with the song „What A Friend We Have In Jesus“. The single received a Grammy nomination in 1975.
