Musikladen was a German music television show from 1972 until 1984 and the successor of „Beat Club“. It featured live performances by national and international musicians like ABBA, Bee Gees and David Bowie, combined with music videos. Host of the show was Manfred Sexauer together with various others. Ike & Tina, as well as Tina solo occurred several times in the show over the years.

Tina's first solo appearance was in 1978, where she promoted the single Acid Queen, which was released this year in Germany. In 1979, she was twice guest in the show with the promotion of the singles Viva La Money in March and Root, Toot Undisputable Rock’n Roller in July, both taken from her recent album Rough.

The performance from 1978 was released on the home video Best of Musikladen in 2000.
